HOLIDAY GIFT IDEA No. 4: BARBOUR December 19 2016
In 1894 Barbour was founded in the port of South Shields, England, by John Barbour, who saw a need for waterproof, reliable, outerwear among working communities.
Barbour is still run by the Barbour family and the Bedale jacket is still made in England to this day. Despite traditional connotations with rural life, Barbour jackets have increased in popularity as an urban fashion item as they make for perfect all-weather pieces.
Some customers keep Barbour waxed jackets for years, sometimes decades. Among such people, the wear-and-tear on the garment can be addressed by Barbour’s repair service, which will patch, reinforce, and re-wax jackets.

NEW ARRIVALS: SPRING JACKETS March 16 2015
New Spring jackets have arrived at Service. Above Matthew wears a jacket from the Barbour International Steve McQueen Collection. The Chico jacket in Olive has a corduroy lined double snap collar, signature stars and stripes stud snap and handsome tartan plaid lining based on classic Barbour pieces like the Ashby or Bedale.

We've received a couple of pieces from Deus Ex Machina x Barbour's Spring collaboration. The Hornet Worker jacket features multiple large pockets, concealed button fastenings, and triple stitched seams for extra durability. This jacket is garment dyed and will develop a unique worn-in look over time.

An exciting new addition to the stocklist is Spiewak x Narifuri's M-3 Road Jacket. Narifuri is a Tokyo based clothing brand that specializes in cycling gear. This jacket is fairly technical with multiple large pockets, adjustable snap cuffs, a breathable mesh lining, and underarm vents. Made from a nylon blend to help battle the elements while commuting. And it's a great looking piece to boot.
